The Rm26 students are really proud of the work they have produced and wanted me to take photos of ALL the portraits that are around our room (unfortunately there are a few missing because we didn't have a ladder today) but in saying that...

Toku Whanau

We have been doing some Art and Te Reo Maori in the classroom.  Students practiced saying some basic words and writing basic sentences.  Last week we worked on introducing some of the members of our whanau and ourselves.  We then created some koru art to dispaly with our sentences.

Here are some of our finished products.  I am extremely proud of the art work that the students in Rm26 have produced, and they now line our classroom walls :)

Rm26 ART! and STARS!

We have been learning how to blend pastel to find a match for the colour of our skin, lips, eyes and hair.  We have been practicing and practicing and are working on our published versions at the moment... keep an eye out for our finished products!

We have also been making 3D stars in the classroom for our STARS wall display.  In Room26, STARS are students who understand and display Otumoetai Intermediate's 5 core values: Respect, Integrity, Excellence, Diversity, and Creativity.
